If Snow trades Hamonic now after he rescinded his trade request that wouldn't look so good.

Or maybe Hamonic would quietly still welcome it. Who knows.

he requested the trade 5 months ago...in May.

If it was that easy the trade would already be done.

I'm sure hamonic would be fine with it

Regardless of the supposed recovery of his family member, he'd still get to be close which is exactly what he wanted in the first place

Pretty solid hockey trade . Winnipeg gets a steadier hand and a great contract, but nyi prob wins in the long term

Trouba wants out because he wants to play Right D not left, wouldn't make sense for winnipeg to pick up another RH shot D to play on the Left side
Trading Hamonic wouldn't be a great move by Isles IMO he's signed till 2019/20 at 3.9, you can't get top 4 D minutes for that price anywhere and Trouba is going to want top dollar. I could see Winnipeg signing Kris Russell immediately and letting Trouba sit out till they get a good offer

I'm still pretty bullish on nurse and think his ceiling his very high regardless of his rookie struggles- but chia should be offering him + right now.

Pay trouba most of his silly demands on a medium basis too. He'll be worth it and then some in the near future

$5-5.5 for 3-4 years

Fixes our right side and improves us immediately.
and gives Winnipeg a leftie as they're full in the top 4 on the right side. and he's still cheap for awhile. Tough to give up that free expansion protection in nurse though

Mean as eff and tough as nails for sure.
Love that about him. (Incidentally troubas got some of those qualities too )

Nurse struggled last year, but he was thrown to the wolves in an injury riddled already thin dcorp.
And He can move the puck and skate. and with the right minutes and some sheltering I believe he can still be a great top pair guy.

I just think that trouba has an edge right now (the oilers need to take steps ASAP) and is probably abit more of a sure thing .
(Neither are for sure- but u get my meaning)

Garth will not trade him, period. Besides his contract, he is a great leader, teammate, and person. Believe it or not, the islanders want players with those attributes. He is beloved by his teammates. Im not saying he'll never be traded, i just dont seeing it happening now. Not to mention that would probably not help garths reputation, unless he again requests it.
A poster did say he asked to be traded in may.... he rescinded it in may.

But rescinding the request doesn't neccesarily mean he wouldn't still welcome going there ...

End of the day I just don't see how snow could be looked on unfavourably for dealing hamonic to the place he originally wanted to go

LOL, Ek is pathetically tweeting anyone and everyone involved with Team Europe some stupid anthem mash up he made. And to top it off he is pretending like he's known about Trouba's trade request for a long time. Ahaha everyone is making fun of him.

Haven't you learned yet: the oilers don't do things that make sense. Maybe if there's a worse d-man (ie: Adam Larsson ) the oilers might consider it.

it makes complete sense for the oilers. they get a stud LHD and he's going to be a #1 dman in this league. the oilers give up a prospect.

the jets get the other finn that they were high on. Morrissey starts on the Left side this year and is forced to sink or swim. He'd look good playing with Myers.

I don't understand how you believe this doesn't make sense for the oilers.....

why does it make so much sense for the Jets? yes, Pulju looks great but we are absolutely loaded with young talent up front!! we need D!! If we trade Trouba and then lose one of Buff or Myers to injury we are totally screwed!! Stuart, Postma, Chairot, Melchiori and Morrisey are not top 4 D and if what i said happens not only will of them be but two of them!!!

It makes sense because of his link to laine. Morrissey is ready to play. the jets can focus on drafting d in the next 2 years, we are going to be fine.

I'm not giving up on Morrisey but i wouldn't be so quick to say he's ready for top 4. D take a long time to develop so spending the next two years drafting them puts those players 3-4 years away from making an impact. I only make your deal if Chevy had another deal already worked out where we are trading one of your forwards to bring in another very good young D like a Fowler.
